Images from Cairo Photo Marathon 2011 in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Aalborg December 7, 2011

For the occasion of the nation-wide Danish theatrical release of the feature documentary film ½ Revolution, directed by Omar Shargawi and Karim El-Hakim, and the subsequent debate with the directors organized by DOX-BIO, images from the Cairo Photo Marathon 2011 will be exhibited simultaneously in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Aalborg on December 7^th, 2011.

Taking a point of departure for the images as possible documents of a historical moment, the exhibition aims to illustrate the tensions present on the streets of Cairo during the photo marathon on 15 January, which may serve as a contextual ‘preview’ for the events to follow on January 25 through the eyes of a DEDI-IMS initiated pioneering event in Egypt, the Photo Marathon.
