Board Members
The Institute has a combined Danish and Egyptian Executive Board. The Board adopts its rules of procedure from within the framework established by DANIDA. The Board consists of three Egyptians and three Danes of reputable background and intellectual standing, known for their interest in promoting dialogue and communication between Europe and the Arab World.
The chairmanship rotates every second year between an Egyptian and a Danish member of the Board.
The Board currently consists of:
Chairman, Ambassador Raouf Saad, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Deputy chairman, Mr. Ambassador Christian Hoppe, Danish Embassy in Cairo.
Mr. Salah Allam, Chairman and owner of Allam Sons.
Mr. Andres Jerichow, Senior Correspondent at the Danish daily newspaper Politiken.
Mrs. Turid Leirvoll, Party Secretary of Danish Socialist People’s Party.
Mr. Diaa Rashwan, Director of Al Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies (ACPSS).
