Available position as temporary DEDI Alumni Coordinator

Since 2005 DEDI has initiated numerous projects every year, each project has had participants in numbers between 10 and 50. More than 2.000 persons have been direct participants and beneficiaries in the projects. The projects have involved researchers, media people, students, politicians, artists etc. Most of these persons are not in contact with DEDI any more, but almost all of them will remember their participation as useful and interesting. Some even claim that the involvement with DEDI has changed their life.

For DEDI it would be a resource to be in contact with former participants, they could serve as ambassadors for DEDI if they knew about DEDI’s current activities, and they could contribute with ideas for new activities and networks of partners for projects.

There is furthermore a demand for an assessment of the impact of DEDI’s activities and an assessment of what forms of dialogue. One measure of this could be interviews with the persons involved in the projects reflecting the experience and change that came from partaking in the projects.

Tasks

  • Produce a systematic overview of all DEDI projects since the start, organized by time and themes, including a database of the organizers and institutions involved
  • Identify all participants in each project and find their addresses, phone numbers, emails etc.
  • Develop an interview guide for interviews with participants and develop formats for interviews (written questionnaire; telephone; Skype; meeting). Develop proposals for different media (text, photo, audio, video).
  • Collect data from former participants, possibly identifying, training and overseeing the work of other interviewers.

  • Systematize data and provide it for DEDI staff, especially communications, to make data available for analysis and publication on website.
  • Develop proposal for use of the data collected to contribute to development of a community of alumni.
  • Implement the development of alumni community.
