The checklist was developed by DEDI in collaboration with Greenish. It serves as a guideline for individuals and organizations to accelerate the transition to sustainability by building their capacity on setting sustainability strategies and making their events more eco-friendly.
New ideas and connections were shaped as Egyptian pioneers in sustainable development joined up for the first part of DEDI Green Gate project. Two upcoming workshops will bring them together with Danish counterparts.
“It was nice to see people challenging the pandemic and coming together for the love of sustainability, for the love of the environment and even for the love of learning more from each other”, Yousra Fouda, project officer at DEDI, says.
Former graduates of DEDI’s different projects return to the Initiative to preserve their connections and the spirit of dialogue. The Alumni Club offers a rare space for honest discussions and acceptance of differences.
DEDI Green Gate’s first international workshop kicked off with visits to an organic farm and local grassroots movements, with the participants eager to meet again in Denmark for the second workshop of the program.
