DEDI Invites applications to the scriptwriting workshop:
“Writing Scripts for Children’s Films”. 26th to 30th of April 2018.
The Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute (DEDI) arranges a scriptwriting workshop for children films and TV-programs. The workshop will be conducted by the acclaimed Danish scriptwriter and filmmaker Lotte Svendsen.
The initial workshop with Lotte Svendsen will take place from the 26th to the 30th of April but she shall continue coaching the writing process through a second visit in June, 2018. An Egyptian facilitator will be also be engaged in the workshop and writing process.
During the workshop period, participants will be working on their individual projects.
A pitching session for the manuscripts is expected to take place during the EL Gouna Film Festival, September 2018.
The workshop is free of charge. DEDI will provide the venue and catering for the meetings.
Participants are expected to have basic experience in scriptwriting and a desire for writing for children and youth. Interested applicants will submit (1) a short biography or a CV with previous related projects; and (2) a 1-2 paragraph motivation letter including initial ideas if any.
