DEDI Talks: How to plan Eco-friendly Projects and Events? 

Inspirations from Denmark to Egypt

 

We are super excited to invite you to “DEDI Talks: How to plan Eco-friendly Projects and Events? Inspirations from Denmark to Egypt” taking place February 25th from 7 pm-8.30 pm on Zoom. Top speakers from Denmark and Egypt will share their experiences on the topic through short, insightful talks, followed by Q&A’s and lively discussion. 

Also, a Green Checklist will be presented: A practical guide to planning Eco-Friendly Projects and Events, offering a collection of Eco-friendly alternatives to everything from products to locations. In the last part of the session, we will all work on finalizing the check-list together.

Speakers:

Martin Thim (Denmark) – NorthSide Festival

Opening its doors to more than 35,000 guests every year, the NorthSide Festival is one of the biggest music festivals in Denmark. Sustainability Manager Martin Thim will tell us about how the festival has undergone a complete sustainable transformation over the past 10 years, becoming the first festival of its size reaching 100% sustainability.

Heba AbdelFatah (Egypt) – El Badeel

Two friends searching for Eco-friendly alternatives. This is how El Badeel, a website providing eco-friendly alternatives to everyday products started up. Hoda Labib will share her long-standing experiences on how to minimize earth-polluting-waste by shifting to eco-friendly alternatives.

Rania Ayman (Egypt) – Entreprenelle

Entreprenelle supports women Entrepreneurs and business owners. Over the years, Rania Ayman, CEO & Founder, has worked actively on optimizing the organization’s projects and events’ eco-friendliness. How and why? Join the session, and find out.

Deadline for signing up: February of 21st, 2021

Please note that participants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Those with an academic or professional background related to the topic of discussion
  2. Those aged 18 and above
  3. Those working in civil society organizations, cultural centers, or any similar entities
  4. Those who have ongoing initiatives or project ideas with a community-development dimension

Representatives from women and/ or youth-led initiatives, as well as participants with special needs, are highly encouraged to apply.

We are looking very much forward to sharing the experience of the first DEDI Talks & Events with you.

 

DEDI TALKS & EVENTS

DEDI Talks & Events is a series of knowledge-sharing events. Throughout the year, we will line up a series of interesting speakers from Egypt and/or Denmark, who will share their experiences on a chosen topic, followed by lively discussions.
