Dialogue on Public Policy and Youth Participation

From the 25th to 30th March, The Civic Education for Participation Program held it is second activities in 2017 under the title: “Dialogue on Youth Participation in Public Policy”. The workshop included twenty-three participants coming from 10 different governorates.

The main aim of the workshop was to build the capacities of young people as “Policy Advocates” to be able to actively participate in the community life and to be able to lead social change in their communities. The workshop was designed to create an experiential learning environment to provide young people with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that support them to have an active role in leading policy development;

By the end of the camp, the participants acquired knowledge about, Public Policy definitions, processes, analysis, as well as community mapping and stakeholders’ analysis. The participants also acquired skills such as critical thinking, dialogue, debating, participatory leadership and consensus building.
