We are thrilled to announce the reopening of the furniture exhibition ‘Danish Design Meets Ancient Egypt’ at the Royal Danish Academy Library in Copenhagen, which starting Monday, May 13th at the reopening will feature works by ten young Egyptian furniture designers alongside the already exhibited works by the master students at the academy.
The exhibition, which opened on April 12th, showcases pieces by furniture design master students at the academy which were produced in Damietta at the
Pinocchio Furniture Factory as part of DEDI’s program ‘Design for Circularity’ in collaboration with Pinocchio,
Designdustry and
Det Kongelige Akademi. It will run until June 21st with both the pieces by the Egyptian designers and design students from the academy.
The Egyptian designers as well as the master design students will be present at the reopening event. The pieces were first exhibited last December at the
Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
