DEDI Alumni Club talks lifelong learning

DEDI Alumni Club (DAC) holds a thematic gathering for DEDI alumni who work in the field of civic education, adult education and lifelong learning.  

Our Alumni will meet at our office in Zamalek, Cairo, to get to know each other and share their experiences on their specific field of expertise. The session will be facilitated by Ali abd El Mohsen, who has 17 years of experience in education and himself have been part of a study trip to folk high schools in Denmark, organised by DEDI.  

The alumni will exchange knowledge and experiences related to their field of expertise, then watch short films about the Danish folk high school. Meanwhile, they will listen to Isabel Bjerrum Møller, communication intern with DEDI and former attendee of a Danish folk high school, who will share her personal experience.  

The evening will end with a reflective discussion on how to the opportunities and challenges facing the field of civic education reflecting on the tradition of folk high school.  

DEDI Alumni Club (DAC) is a network that connects all DEDI’s alumni who graduated from several DEDI projects. DAC aims at guiding DEDI’s alumni to a pool of new opportunities, experiences and knowledge. It provides the alumni of DEDI projects with networking opportunities, gatherings and social events and peer-to-peer learning channels in both Egypt and Denmark.
