From the 4th to the 8th of April Danish and Egyptian students of geoscience will go on a joint field trip to Assuit to study the history of climate change in the New Valley desert and Kharga Oasis.
During the four days, the students will attend different activities, a.o. recording elevation, studying sedimentology, and climbing sand dunes. Furthermore, they will visit different cultural and historical places such as el-Zyan Temple and the Church El- Bagawt built 600 AC. The trip also includes a visit to Assiut University and its experimental farm, and a meeting with the President and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.
