In June 2014, Mr. Mohamed Abotera joined DEDI as program manager. His main responsibility is managing the Arts & Culture Program.
Prior to holding this position, Mr. Mohamed’s activities included academic teaching and research and architectural design. In his research he is interested in the politics of space, territories and materiality, representations and urban activism.
Mr. Mohamed is studying for a PhD at the University of Antwerp. He received his master’s degree in Architecture, Globalization and Cultural Identity at the University of Westminster in 2007. He is the co-founder of Madd platform in 2011, an architecture and research collective exploring more equitable models of urban development.
