DEDI cordially invites Egyptian furniture designers and furniture design students to participate in DEDI Furniture Design Project 2021 held in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, DESiGNDUSTRY, and Pinocchio Furniture.
The project brings Danish and Egyptian designers and design students together and offers the opportunity of mutual inspiration and enriching experiences. Thus, we are embracing the spirit of iconic Danish designers who were deeply influenced by Ancient Egyptian design, creating pieces such as “The Egyptian Chair” by Finn Juhl in 1949.
Twenty students along with two teachers from the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts will be participating in the project.
The selected candidates will participate in manufacturing their designs in Pinocchio Furniture Factory in New Damietta. The pieces will be showcased in an exhibition in Cairo on December 3, 2021.
The project takes place from November 26 to December 3, 2021 at Damietta where all participants take part in the manufacturing of their designs at Pinocchio Furniture Factory.
Only Egyptian furniture designers and furniture design students can apply.
