Pernille Bramming


Ms. Pernille Bramming was appointed coordinator of the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative the 1st of October 2019 and is in charge of the day-t-day business of the Initiative.

Pernille Bramming is a Middle East expert and has written extensively on the Middle East. Prior to holding her position as coordinator, Ms. Pernille Bramming worked as a communication consultant to the Karen Blixen Museum and The Danish Institute of International Studies among others. She worked as editor and Middle East correspondent at the Danish weekly, Weekendavisen, 2001-2018, and was based in Cairo from 1991-1996, being the Middle East correspondent of the Danish daily, Politiken. Ms. Pernille Bramming has served as member of committees and boards of KVINFO, DANMISSION and other organizations and of the editorial committee of the Carsten Niebuhr Library (2003-2016). She is author of the book “At Home in Cairo”.

Pernille Bramming received her master’s degrees in Social Sciences and in French Language and History from Roskilde University, Denmark.
