A study trip to witness the municipal elections in Denmark

On the 17th of November 2017, a delegation of the most distinguished participants of the CEFP 2017 civic education camps, joined a study trip, organised by the Danish Egyptian Dialogue institute to witness the municipal elections in Denmark.

The participants were introduced the Danish Political system, through a series of seminars given by prominent legislative and executive danish officials. The theoretical knowledge gained from the presentations and talks was accompanied by a practical experience of shadowing local candidates and accompanying electoral campaigns during the days of the local elections. The participants got the opportunity to meet with active actors at the Danish civil society such as student unions, red cross, Duff and the Folk High Schools.
