Through the camera lens, new career opportunities unfolds…
The department of photojournalism of the Danish School of Journalism (DMJX) is world famous and has fostered numerous prize-winning photojournalists, making the School extremely popular. Therefore, the enthusiasm of a group of young Egyptian photographers is evident while attending a series of four workshops in Cairo given by teachers from DMJX. Two of the participants talked to the Danish journalist Line Mitchell and journalist and Coordinator of DEDI, Pernille Bramming about their dreams and ambitions and the experience of working with the Danish teachers.
The workshops are organized by DMJX in co-operation with Photopia and with financial support from DEDI, the Danish Egyptian Dialogue Initiative. The first workshop was held by Søren Pagter at Photopia. The second workshop about portrait photography was held by Mads Greve at DEDI. The third workshop on writing was conducted by Gitte Luk at DEDI.
