DEDI will host a new online session, titled “Wellbeing and Self Development in Corona Times” on Wednesday 24th of June at 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
How can we as practitioners in the field of civic education cope with the anxiety, uncertainties, and depression that many people experience during the COVID-19 crisis? How can we keep up the spirit and carry on?
In this session Samar Saadany, learning consultant and wellbeing enthusiast, will present answers to these questions and introduce tools and exercises to practice.
Karim Abobakr, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Mirqah, will be present to share insights on coping with stress within workplace settings.
Priority will be given to applicants:
1. Aged 18 and above
2. Working in civil society organizations, cultural centers, or any similar entities
3. Having ongoing initiatives or project ideas with a community-development dimension
Representatives from women and/ or youth-led initiatives as well as participants with special needs are highly encouraged to apply.
Samar AlSaadany holds a master’s degree in anthropology from the American University in Cairo and is certified group therapist by EAGT. Karim Abobakr is pursuing a PhD in Workplace Mental Health at the University of Nottingham
